Privacy policy
SweepDoku is a puzzle game for iPhone, Android and the web, made by AntaE (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what happens to your information when you play.
The short version
- There’s no account and no sign-in.
- Your progress and settings stay on your device. We never receive them.
- The game has no ads, analytics or tracking.
- The app checks for game updates when it opens. That’s the only thing it sends over the internet.
What the game keeps on your device
To remember your games between sessions, SweepDoku stores:
- Your progress: games won, best times, streaks, achievements, your Daily Puzzle results, and whether you’ve finished the tutorial.
- Your settings: whether sound is on, and which theme you chose.
This is stored only on your phone, or in your browser if you play on the web. It isn’t sent to us, and we have no copy of it. The Daily Puzzle is made on your device from the date, so it doesn’t need to fetch anything.
If your phone backs up app data (for example with Google or iCloud backup), that backup can include your SweepDoku progress. It’s handled by Google or Apple under your account settings.
What leaves your device
Update checks (iPhone and Android app)
Each time the app opens, it asks Expo’s update service whether a newer version of the game is available, and downloads it if there is one. Expo is run by 650 Industries, Inc. The request includes technical details needed to send the right update: your device’s platform (iPhone or Android), the app’s version and update channel, and which update you already have. It also includes a random identifier that the update service creates for your installation of the app. Like any internet request, it shares your IP address.
It doesn’t include your progress, your settings, your name or anything else about you. Expo handles these requests under its own privacy policy.
The web version and this website
The web version of the game and this website are hosted by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes standard request details, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you open, to deliver the pages and protect them from attacks. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy. We don’t set cookies or use ads or analytics on either site.
The app stores
When you download SweepDoku from Google Play or the App Store, Google or Apple handles that under their own privacy policies. They may show us statistics about downloads, and crash reports if you’ve chosen to share them with app developers. These don’t identify you to us.
What we don’t do
- We don’t collect your name, email address, contacts, location or photos.
- The app doesn’t ask for access to your camera, microphone, contacts or location.
- We don’t use advertising identifiers, and we don’t sell or share personal information.
Children
SweepDoku doesn’t ask anyone, including children, for personal information, and it doesn’t collect any.
Deleting your data
To delete everything the game stored, uninstall the app, or on the web clear this site’s data in your browser. Because we hold no copy, there’s nothing else to delete.
Changes to this policy
We plan to add optional ads and a paid SweepDoku Plus subscription. Before either one launches, we’ll update this policy to explain what those services collect, and change the date at the top of this page.
